congrats for my brother and sister - Siddiq 11A and poyah 10A.
very2 proud of you guys……….

i have been breastfeeding(bf) izzah exclusively for 5 month plus now. Its just a matter of days before we start giving her solid food and continue bf’ing until she’s two (inshaAllah). my experience bf’ing has been wonderful despite little challenges.
The first thing i requested when i’m still in the labor room was to look at my little princess and bf her the first time. the nurse asked if i’m not tired. of course i was, but after all my mindset from reading (haha) i would want to bf her the first time there in the labor room. it was magical seeing her sucking the first time. the nurses went around me and said ‘awwwwww..’..
i was worried the first few days because theres not much milk coming out. but i know there wont be milk for at least a few days, as the baby’s stomach is also just the size of pea. but izzah were constantly restless during her first few days making me impatient to wait for the milk abundance. after that it was fountains hahaha..
so i started using my pump with alot of reluctance after 2 weeks. i have just established my breastfeeding routine and now pumping added extra stress. i was worried about storage, sterility and creating too much demand for milk when my little one is drinking less. a month before i got back to work, i started to train izzah using bottle(therefore i have to pump). it was a stressful experience having to pantang and prepare the milk, wash the bottles, and pump all at once. i gave up a week before going back to work, but it turns out alright. Izzah is not a fussy baby at all.
to be continued..
